PRODUCTION SCHEDULER
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic person to fill a Production Scheduler vacancy. This role will be based in the factory but the chosen candidate may be required to attend sites and/or meetings etc. from time to time.
The Role
The Production Scheduler will provide essential support to the Truwood team by planning, coordinating, and optimizing production processes to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of goods.
The key duties of this role are:
Plan & maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on project requirements, resource availability, and lead times.
Coordinate with Project Managers, CAD Technicians, procurement, and workshop teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor production status, identifying bottlenecks—reallocating resources and adjusting schedules to meet critical deadlines.
Communicate changes and updates clearly to the team, subcontractors and management.
Generate reports & KPIs on production performance, highlighting delays, resource shortages, and improvement areas.
Forecast capacity requirements and liaise with procurement to align material availability.
Collaborate with Continuous Improvement, advising on scheduling enhancements and workshop efficiencies.
Support installation scheduling, ensuring shop and site sequences align.
Provide backup support for CAD drawing schedules when required.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an advantage
Understanding of what Truwood do and the basic manufacturing process
Possess strong customer service skills
Understanding basic financial concepts and budgeting will be helpful
Minimum 2 years in production scheduling, preferably within joinery, manufacturing, or construction industries.
Proficient in scheduling software (ERP/MRP/CPS) and Excel.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, thriving under deadline pressure
Technically comfortable with digital tools and eager to learn internal systems.
